I read all of Superman: Birthright at work this morning (it was so dark outside up until about 7) and really, really enjoyed it. I'll hunt down the trade(s) for sure. Superman's always intrigued me--he seems like he'd be one of the hardest characters to write well, considering what he does and what has been done already. But the image of a guy in blue and red tights keeping a building from crumbling over someone has always been appealing to me. I just like him dangit. ._.
Spent about two hours fighting down another case of jitters over this not!animation thing on Monday. More over the fact that it's downtown than anything. Detroit is a hideous place to drive. Not that it's crowded, but that half the city was built at one point in time with a very unique layout (it's like a starburst cut in half by the river kind of) and the other half was mashed in there later in standard grids. So the roads are just. Very confusing and one-way and where will I park for less than ten bucks. Hrrr.
I guess this is what it feels like to be a freelancer, since that's basically what I am now. And will be once October ends and my toll job is gone. I hope I can get used to the sensation, because at the moment? It's nothing short of stomach-churning. I wish I could just stay in school forever and acrue debt until I die and don't have to pay it.
Zap! volume two came in the mail the other day. It's one of my favorite webcomics. Pascalle's art has made insane leaps and bounds throughout it and I admire that.
Haha, jeez. I'm only twenty-two and I'm already getting cranky with people younger than me. Rassumfrassum happy-go-lucky carefree teenagers wasting time in front of me on my break. SOME OF US HAVE JOBS TO DO, SLACKERS. BACK IN MY DAY, ETC ETC, BLEEBLOOBLAH.
Ay, I have things for you.
