ELLE: STILL A SUPERHERO!! ([personal profile] noelleno) wrote2007-01-25 01:11 am

Gonna do it

I am going to redraw TAE. The format will stay perfectly in tact. The dream, Neko being an idiot with glasses, Stanshford's tidal wave of exposition, etc. But I can't stand looking at those pages anymore. They are atrocious, and no one can convince me otherwsie. There is no way I can move on without satisfying my desire to clean those up. Comic Sans MS font? ON MY COMIC? Hell no.

I need to find a quick format for the colors. I don't know if I could keep up with it, the way I bunker down and color. I might deconstruct the amount of levels I use. Now that I know how to use masks (NURRHURR GO ME, I ONLY HAD PHOTOSHOP FOR 6 YEARS AND IT TOOK ME THIS LONG TO LEARN), that might be a lot more convenient. I can't keep blocking off layers designated to only one thing. It's time consuming, and there are better ways. Also learned how to manipulate inlaid patterns on brushes. BD

And Illustrator will make me better at modifying speech bubbles. YESSIRREE.

Lol, another thing to distract me from my landscape homework. I am painting this, hurr.

Oh Ellis, I love you. Any opportunity to exploit musical standards of the 20's is a great thing. Maybe I will make him learn the Canon Ball Rag.

Possible panel. "...The portal is in a dressing room?"

Oh man, I just want it all to look good. I mean, I drew those old pages two years ago. I need to make this work and be cohesive. B..Because..I. I don't know. Rofl.

Really shoulda eaten dinner earlier. Huh.

Sounds like a lot of work, but fun. ^^ What's your current workflow for coloring, just curious? I'd probably set one layer to multiply, color the whole dang thing, then put highlights on the next layer and shadow on another. That would be a lot of work to color, too, though.

I usually designate a layer for each item. Skin, hair, shirt1, shirt2. Normal setting, slap color on, erase till it's in the right area, lock layer, and do all my shading and highlighting on the color. It's a crude way to do it, but I've tried using that Multiply setting, and I never really got into it too much. I am such a lazy creature. XD

Fdjkfsf I love your icon; it's so pretty. *_*

I stalk icon communities... bwuahahaha. XD

I thought that's how you worked, and I'm far too lazy to try it. XD

Awesome expressions, as always. You're honestly going to redraw it? That's some drive. Good luck, lamer Elle!

Yeah, maybe it'll look good this time. YOUR WELL-WISHING IS MOST APPRECIATED, DARLING ENDERNET.

Is that some Hiwatari iconage? That is new. Me gusto.

Do you know I actually forgot his last name. Is that it? Hiwatari? I only know that his first name is Satoshi, hahahahahaha.

Technically it is Hikari, but he lives with that Hiwatari nutjob fakedad of his.

NOW YOU KNOW.

There's actually a font called "I hate comic sans". *felt the need to point that out*

Can't wait to see the redrawn comic!
