Let me tell you something interesting I learned in lecture today.

Companies don't report chemical spills to the public. :D And the EPA doesn't test regularly--copper and lead are tested about every THREE years. Water flows, my friends, so that test excludes any chemicals that got into the water in alllll of that time. E coli stays in sediment and sand for over a year, and fluxuates daily in water supplies in accordance to environmental changes. We drink E. coli, lead, and vinyl chemicals.

Yummy.

Oh, yeah, also this: This one chemical plant up by St. Clair river spilled 220,000 gallons of chemicals into the water and reported it was a GALLON.

And ALSO THIS: Only the Native Americans are told about chemical spills. XD In both Canada and America.

GOOD JOB, EPA, I FEEL SAFE NOW.
