and I totally fit half those features. XD
I spent the entire free damn day doing NOTHING. N-O-T-H-I-N-G. It felt good, till I remembered that monologue I gotta have memorized for tomorrow. Oh snap. But I did memorize it, timed out almost perfectly, too. Hope it stays that way. And I DID do one drawing for drawing class out of three. Go me. Another sharpie bites the dust. I'm going through these things too damn fast.
I decided to quit worrying about how my art sucks and just enjoy drawing it. The process. Yes.
Oh, and, unless you like depression and pain, don't pick up Ways of Seeing, by John Berger. It will depress you while causing you pain. NOT KIDDING.
So, my Honors prof is very. Very leftist. NOT THAT THERE'S ANYTHING WRONG WITH THAT. Except for all the stupid underhand comments he drops every single time someone's in the middle of making a point in discussion. Say something about industrialization, and ohnoes. Say something about government, and ohnoes. I know he's a smart guy, but. Jeesh. Let the kids talk. It's a discussion class, not a make-everyone-feel-dumb-unless-they-agree-with-you class. >=\
I just don't like people stuffin' their opinions down my throat every opening they get. That's great that you think that way, but jeebus, hello, I don't HAVE to agree. If that means I'm ignorant, that's only your opinion, lalalallala, have fun with that! Wheee, more people assuming that I'm evil cause I'm pro-life and don't like democratic senators I see on tv because, like all senators, they're garbage! :D Carry on!
< /cynicism >
Apologies. I needed that off my chest. I always feel so suffocated by that. LET ME THINK UNIQUELY DAMMIT.
Anywho. Drawing drawing drawing...not doing homework...drawing...Man. I need a work ethic.
So, let me tell you about the neat people I've met here at college:
First, there's Katy, who is my roommate. She is very laidback and pretty cool with me being a moron, so long as I'm quiet during CSI. She loves her some CSI. She wants to do stage stuff for film or theater, she hasn't decided. She is totally on task. Luckyyyy...Only problem is, she goes to bed early! So I gotta try to comply to her schedule, cause I don't want to piss her off. >>; We watched that live episode of Will & Grace and had a jolly old time, and she helped me with my monologue. She's cool beans.
Then, there's Fly, who is down the hall. Very hyper, goofy, and totally someone I've come to admire. She is a lot more than she appears. She composes and writes lyrics to her own songs on the piano and guitar, and they're hauntingly beautiful. She's kinda choppy on that piano, but hey, for just recently re-picking it up, hella lot better than what I could do. Her voice is nuts. She's an excellent singer. And she's so friendly! She has a dark side, too, which is pretty awesome (to see someone with similar facets as I do--bright colored clothes, evil metal on the iPod). She is, I swear, in LOVE with Rammstein. She knows all the friggin' words, and spazzed when she found out about the new album. Haha, but her taste in music is quite admirable. I love hanging out with her! The more I learn about her, the more I admire her, and notice that we're hardly different! Crazy shit, yo'.
Then, Aquilla, who lives on the OTHER end of the hall. She's a big anime/cartoon buff, and we totally clicked, talking about, of all things, old-school Power Rangers and Digimon. Haha, how awesome is that?! She's hilarious, too, and I never have a dry conversation with the girl. She says she's getting a Power Rangers morpher from eBay, and will wear it every day. I'm holding her to that, but I doubt I'll need to. She's a Tommy fan. XD
And, of course, Cukeyra, whose name I probably mispelled. BUT I CAN SAY IT RIGHT. She is. Absolutely. Insane. No doubt. She is a big goof! But I admire her so much--she's just so out there. And I have so much fun with her and Aquilla (they're roomies) at the dining hall. I swear, we die laughing every time we're around each other. She has such wild stories, and she tells them with so much attitude and in such a way that I just wanna collapse laughing. She got stuck in a trash can today. Just..it was interesting. What an awesome girl. XD
So, yeah. Me, Aquilla, and Cukeyra were finishing up dinner and went to get ice cream. Chocolate for me, of course, and they wanted vanilla. The machine was running out of vanilla, so it like..gagged out a tiny little but for Aquilla before letting some out and sucking it back in. It was really funny seeing her struggle to get it out. Then another girl came by and tried to help. By hitting the machine and messing with buttons. We left pretty fast after that, cause we didn't wanna get pinned with breaking the machine. Katy told us that the machine was getting worked on when she went down there later, and we three almost fell over laughing.
