Today felt kind of surreal. Perhaps it started because I actually was awakened by my first alarm and I got up when it went off. Which meant I actually got out of the door around 5:35AM, and to the office almost on the dot. I haven't been on time to the 6AM shift in a while, haha. But it's not like it really is exceedingly important I be right out there sitting in that box right when 6 rolls out, seriously. Anyone who makes time to show up THAT early deserve to get in free anyway.

But fgsfsd I was really tired and not really all that pumped to be there. However, I did bring along my new book, Reduced Shakespeare: A Guide for the Attention Impaired [Abridged] or however it's excessively titled. It's by two of the fellas who did "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [Abridged]" show I do so adore. I started the book at 6, I finished the book around noon. It kind of melted my brain, reading the whole damn thing. It was only 225+ pages or so. Still. That's a lot of words.

When I took my break, The Flaming Lips were on the radio. And seriously? When I'm that tired that early in the morning, I don't need to hear a song about a guy who blows his nose with magazines. It vexed me a bit, just because I wasn't awake enough to contemplate it. Tim's freaking obsessed with that band; I wonder if he knows they're coming to the State Theatre in a couple of weeks...
It may have been worse when I left work today; I heard "Rock Me Amadeus." I DON'T KNOW WHY IT WAS BEING PLAYED, BUT IT WAS. It was too bizarre to handle, so I had to change the station about 2/3 of the way through the song. I can't handle that much weird.

Let's go backwards, shall we? I didn't discuss how wonderful "The Odd Couple" was yesterday. Aunt Cher went with me and Steve (well, she drove..but we were her chaperones) and got kinda turned around trying to find the theatre it was playing; it ended up being this tiny little place right before the Modern Exchange and stuff. It was kinda cozy, though; table seating, with cookies and popcorn and whatever. The curtain was like a tarp, so I really wasn't sure what to expect. But the actors were marvelous and we all had a great time.
They're going to have a show called "Nunsense" there in September, and it sounds intriguing enough, so maybe I'll go again. Lord knows these damn season tickets shoulda covered these shows, but I guess it only goes for the big musicals. Fiddler's gonna be rockin' good times (please let them fix their sound system PLEASE), and I have no idea how Aida's going to get pulled off. Isn't that a bit of a big show?

Anyhow. I kind of. Thought about finishing that Hubie pencil piece today. But then I just kept reading. That kind of sucks, but eh. I think I need to simmer down a bit; I draw too much crap and never slow down enough to do something worthwhile.

Oh oh. And. I am definitely on my own laptop right now, cause Daddy bought a wireless router for the house. :D NO STINKY WINDOWS XP NEEDED FOR MEEEEEE. All I gotta do is transfer the eps of Utawarerublahblah and Kiba and Ouran and Avatar over here and see what I can do as far as Bittorrent goes. Good times, good times.

Oh awesome. Now it's not working. Looks like we're going to have fun times with this.
