80 holy crap! I've never done anything REMOTELY this long before!


So yeah, Good Friday service was kinda crazy. There was a massive line for the confessional when I got there, so mass actually didn't start until one o'clock--an hour later! But Deacon Ken came out and we did a round of the rosary and some other stuff to pass the time. The little kids that were there were actually pretty mellow; just one real little boy who got antsy and needed to be taken out.


"I should learn to stop making plans," Father Hedges said, "because I totally was going to do the Seven Words on the Cross for you all, but so many people were waiting for confessions! And that's why God laughs at our plans."

Apparently he was up till 1:30 last night in the confessional for people. That's pretty amazing.

I don't know what's wrong with me anymore because this is the second mass I almost frickin' cried at. Though the whole Jesus dying thing kind of would be a good excuse. At least I wasn't the only one. I left after the veneration cause I was rather sad and it's a good thing I did because then IT STARTED SNOWING


HEY MICHIGAN, IT'S THE MIDDLE OF MARCH. WHAT IS THIS 6-10" OF SNOW BULLSHIT. A WHITE EASTER? WHAT?

AND YES TIM, I KNOW MICHIGAN IS EVIL DON'T REMIND ME I WANT TO COMPLAIN AND THIS IS WHAT LJ IS FOR AMIRITE.


So now I'm off to start my poster competition entry. And hope to God I can paint at such a high resolution.

Mm? How long was the service? The one held in the parish I go to was less than an hour and a half long. Hm. Then again, not a lot of people went to the one I went to.

Altogether? Should've been about 3 1/2 hours, considering the delay, but I left after veneration. I think after that was Stations of the Cross and then the novena for Divine Mercy.
