I've had a few people tell me they wanted to know about some of my characters and I've been really retarded about doing so. Half of it is being lazy and the other half is not wanting to sound like a dork.
Considering the overall atmosphere of this journal, the latter has already been achieved, so I no longer have anything to fear.
So,

Not my first, because my first characters were retarded animals or something.I watched a lot of Balto and Rudolph as a child okay. He was really generic and bland and very "protagonist-with-sword-oo-he-cuts-things-okay-and-saves-the-day-wow-how-original". Also had an 'x'-scar until someone showed me images from Rurouni Kenshin and I was like "well fuck."
Aside from the horrible lack of personality, he just had to be a prince, because if I was going to be unoriginal, I might as well go the whole nine yards right? So yeah. Bland, dull, royal, with a sword.
He stayed like that for so long, too, even as everyone else in his story changed. The only thing kind of different was the fact that he was no longer the main protagonist. I was bored with him.
Then I decided to make him a horrible loser at everything, and suddenly I loved him again. His design changed, too. Not suddenly, but when I did, hooo...

He looks like a deer in headlights. Always. It's wonderful. His figure got even lankier and more fragile, and he always looks like he's going to fall over. And he does fall often enough to make it work. His backstory was more believable and interesting because of it, too.
So yeah. That's how that happened. Here's what he is.
Chemin is the second child of an elf king and wind spirit incarnate. Long story on that one, but yeah. His mom's a northwestern wind. He has an older sister who is much more like their father, and definitely more of the leader-type. Chemin didn't start speaking words until he was four, and even then, only very rarely. He wasn't shy, though, because he was always climbing around and getting into trouble.
His close affinity to his mother was apparent physically, what with the eyes and hair color, as well as his ability to hear the fairies and other invisible things. A malignant spirit almost convinced him to give up his body when he was five, but the Anduist dropped in and sorted that all out.
Thennnn bad guys raided his home and he was strapped to a horse and sent away, getting separated from his sister and everyone else. He ended up being found by Gerr people, who are very magical and lofty and quirky and rather liked how goofy he was. They kept him and raised him, well aware of what he was in contrast to who he was supposed to be. Still, they tried to knock some people skills into him. He could carry on a conversation, at least, but other than that, ahaha..,
So now he's supposed to go and petition the elf and other nations to work together to sort out all the problems going on in the world. He is not doing a good job of it lmfao.

The Anduist agreed to come with him, and Iore was along for the ride as well for various reasons. Iore pushes Chemin around and yells at him and tries to get him to DO SOMETHING other than stand there and stutter. It's kind of working sort of. There is also a potential girlfriend in that group but he can't do much other than stare and make that incredibly awkward.
He gets better, though, once he acquires the family sword (dammit why swords why are swords always the main weapon why can't I change that) and learns how to use it without failing horribly! Since he is half-a-spirit-thing, he can fly, and eventually will be able to manipulate his form to become completely maleable as wind or something. Very handy when being slashed at by bad guys, or to look motivating to skeptics. His skill is mediocre, at best, but then, he's never had the chance to work on it. So now he gets to.

He'll get it together, somehow, but I don't think he's going to succeed at everything he's supposed to. In fact, I think he's going to fail miserably in some aspects that he won't be able to recover from. I don't know whether that will scare him into withdrawing further from his duties or to bite the bullet and keep going. That'll depend on how much he retains from his mentors and friends.
So yup. That's Chemin. I typed a lot. Here's more pictures to break up the words.

I like him a lot again yay. Too bad I can't ever decide on an armor set I like. 8|
