to then arise
Aug. 12th, 2007 08:07 pmI all but wept in mass tonight. Absolution does something funny to me, and I get a little overwhealmed. I'm just glad I went alone, lest my immediate family see me such a weepy wreck. Not that it's a bad thing, it's just kind of embarrassing.
I held a feeble woman's hand during the Lord's Prayer, and she squeezed it and thanked me, and thanked me again at the end of mass. Another moment to feel all squishier-than-usual.
Next week is going to be one crazy ride. Lots of 7, 8-hour shifts and an 8-8:30 on Sunday. I hope that I have the inspriation to draw, and draw lots, or I will be one bored gal. Though, today, having forgotten my power chord, I spent the entire shift reading A Ready Defense, which was quite fascinating, especially in reference to the archaeological testamonies to Isaiah.
Oh and darling Chase's grad party, oh Chaaase. I hope I do see him before he's off to Harvard--full ride scholarship. That lucky kiddo.
