Dec. 27th, 2008 09:31 amYou can do this, and you don't need to see obnoxious red text to get there!
Things! In list-form!
Deadpool #5: That's what I'm talking about. Being so horrifically mangled that even zombies can't stand the taste of you? Typical Wilson doublecross? Things that go kaboom? Making your own sound effects? I love it. ONLY TWO MORE ISSUES TILL BOB SHOWS UP. :)
X-Factor #3: I only read the Deadpool part. And that's only partly because I can't stand reading Wolverine titles. It was just that the art was really kind of ick. But the Deadpool section was highly amusing. ("What do you MEAN I can't say 'dead'?! 'Hurtpool' doesn't have the same effect!") Seeing him all hideous and cancerous with hair! and the like was disturbing, but neat.
Booster Gold #15: Boy. I wonder if 'Booster dropping something' is going to be the start of every plot in this title, followed by the 'getting shot into horrifyingly apocalyptic future/past' cliffhanger? Granted, this only happened once before, and that was Starro, and it was the future, and the preview cover for this one looks like it's the past, but...Eheh. Still. This one had Ralph! And an adoreable picture of his birthday party with Ted and Guy and such. :') Also, nice to see a little of Booster's old immaturity peek through all the serious biz.
Blue Beetle #34: WAS NOT IN STOCK. 8( I have to wait two weeks again!
Yesterday I bought Lost Odyssey. I thought we were officially done with turnbased RPG combat?? Apparently not. It's like Final Fantasy (Nobuo did the soundtrack, if that doesn't tack it in more) with its pretentious and illogical building/costume/transportation designs and limit-4 generic villains per area...And it does that thing where you walk four paces and then a cutscene, then walk five paces, then a cutscene. But it's pretty. Maybe that will redeem itprobably not.
Too bad there's so much freaking text. There are thirty-five short stories in it. So apparently I've bought a book for the 360. A 4-disc book. Mmmboy.
Morning Fox News makes me think of old school X-Play in the ways that made me not really care for old school X-Play. :\
