YEAH!! Happy month-plus-five-days-early birthday to ME. :)
Mom got to talk to her sister. Thank God. That's what we prayed for. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any chance of recovery, so. It's a waiting game. If the funeral does end up down there, I might have to drive down there to help Dad on the way, since it's a 2-day drive.
Went to a Dad's-side-of-the-family gathering tonight, since my Godmother and Godfather are heading back to Arizona this weekend or so. It was nice. Everyone's very chatty, though. And it's a little uncomfortable when it gets down to politics. As it always is, I'm sure you know. But I love them. They're very supportive of me. All the crossed fingers for the potential Disney intern gig. And it's nice that my niece seems to like me. Though, she's 3, and apt to forget easily.
Dad held my hand on the ride home. "Thank you for being there," he said.
"Moral support," I said, kind of laughing.
"No, I just love my family."
