noellenoThe sound of my dad playing the mandolin in the morning is extremely comforting. Maybe it's because I hadn't heard him play in a while. I don't know, but I hope he plays more often. He does medleys of licks he knows, and there's a lot of Nickel Creek, which I already like, so it's good times.
Got this college thing sort of squared away, in that I already applied. Eastern Michigan, which has a nice layout but not enough cops, so sometimes it's worse off than a campus in Detroit, but hey. No night classes, then! Giant water tower that looks like a penis. Not kidding.
Sobering remarks from an admissions counsellor mixed in with some kinda eyerollish suggestions. Yeah, I feel very strongly about education reform, but I don't think I'd write a book on it. Sorry.
The thing that'll suck most, surprisingly, isn't the loan deferrments. It'll be trying to get all this shit to transfer. Apparently with what I have, I have 80% of a graphics communication minor already done if I just talk to the department heads about getting credit. Blugh. Can't wait.
Aaand Monday we run around Detroit and Livonia looking to get transcripts sent. My dislike of Wayne State only increases each time I'm forced to deal with it. Even if my freshman year there was fantastic.
I had a dream my sister and I were on a train to Canada that was shaped more like a school bus, and that right when we got to the terminal, the engine split from us and kind of left us stranded so we had to walk the whole way in, and I realized I'd only packed a skirt for the stay and was like :|
So I went to get money exchanged after this shirtless, burly guy was talking to me and Katie and I was like "I do not like that man", and I exchanged $90 and it all came back in coin and I was like "WHAT THE FUCK CANADA DO WE NOT BELIEVE IN PAPER ANYMORE?"
And then I decided to wake up. Yeah!
EDIT: I'M STARTING TO BELIEVE ZAC EFRON HAS ONLY TWO REAL AT-REST FACIAL EXPRESSIONS AND THEY ARE BOTH HILARIOUS. Whyyyy do I like him.
