Ohhh HERE:

Ask me either a broad question (i.e 'who is your cruelest character?', 'what is your most optimistic story?') or a specific question/request ('what would does ___ come from?', 'tell me about ___') and I will answer you. Or you can ask meta- questions like 'what was the inspiration for creating ____?'

If you care to learn things.

Hmmm. Tell me about how you created:
Chiinah
Hubie
Chemin
and Iore

Chiinah came about after I'd made up this warlock-type character that I thought was the bee's knees and needed people to be all wise and shit over. So Chiinah, Rivven, Tiizu, and Claude were at first designed to be dinky little adventurers that stumble across assorted pieces of jewelry that get kinda stuck on them (I think it was Chiinah and Tiizu with the armbands--earth and fire, Rivven with a necklace--water, and I forget what Claude had besides something to do with wind) and are, of course, magical.

But that ended up being kind of boring so I trashed the whole idea. I don't know where the martyr part came in but I liked that better. The other three got an age-up, Chiinah got an age-down, and the warlock was canned.

I also remember that some shitty old Photoshop of Chiinah got me a feature on Elfwood's main page back in the day for some unknown reason. It was pretty hideous, though.

Hubert was for one of the many rp scenarios that Kat/Di had come up with a few years back. Had to be like...idk 03 or 04? But anyway it she said it was like a Suikoden offshoot and we needed different classes of characters, and that she and Endy had some knights and I oughta get in on that action. So Endy had an archer named Phillipe and Kat/Di had a swordsguy named Cecil and I was like HMMM

I think I was still stuck in my making-traditionally-not-appealing character designs phase, so I distinctly remember asserting that Hubert Godfrey was not a very trim guy. And that he was a bit hefty. And illiterate. And a bit of a heavy drinker--socially, of course. To round it out, I tried to make him seem kind of like my dad--the work ethic, the life outlook, and the derpy jokes. And so I made him.

I had no idea people would love him so much. He's the only character my Dad knows I've made by name, for the record. And I guess that's good.

So instead of derping around in offshoot Suikoland, he gets to punch out a giant and earns himself a shiny shiny title. :]

Chemin was my token fair-haired prettyboy elf. Because it was like a requirement to have one back when I joined Elfwood. He had absolutely no personality outside of "fight this badguy" or "rescue this person", and had a shitty Kenshin scar on his face that was omitted when somebody told me about Kenshin. Lol.

He continued to have no personality as my friend Tiff and I (and two others who I've lost contact with so they were written out) derped around with OC roleplay on ims. He was always my main, and because I do horrible things to my mains, I killed him. 8|

THEN WE REHASHED THE WHOLE THING.

And he was killed and brought back.

THEN WE REHASHED AGAIN (we do this a lot) and by that point I was more invested with Iore, who I'd made in like the second remake and he became more of the plot focus. Chemin got sidelined as the hohum boring guy until

another rehash.

He gradually gets more cowardly and jittery, and now he is just this socially inept piece of bug-eyed fear and I adore him again. I like watching him fail at life.

And he doesn't die.

I made Iore just to be an asshole to the main crew of Anduist Road (it used to be called Written in Stone but that title's pointless now and kinda horrifyingly cheesy and lame). He first showed up after a house collapsed on him!! His life is great from the get-go truly. But he shows up, because Tiff had suggested a tribe of people that were called Midgardians at first, but every rpg ever rips off Nordic words like that so easily, so I changed it to Midgaa which is hardly any better BUT ANYWAY. I felt like we needed a foil to the human element we had--and they were written to be all but mortal enemies.

So we had two redheads in the group that were from enemy peoples and there was much yelling and hair-pulling and it was good times. He was tiny, eleven, and ended up being the guy that brought Chemin back to life in the second rehash. And by then I was really starting to like the imp so he got more powers and more personality and I decided HEY he'll be host to a horrifying sentient parasite spell!!

His life is awesome.

And by then I had sidelined Chemin and focused more on him, and instead of being eleven he's twenty-four now, just stuck in an eleven-twelve-year old body. His life is still awesome.

And yeah. He gets the girl only not.

And.

YEP.

FFFF LET ME THINK.

I have one that has no solid name yet that Chiinah just called the Bad One. His whole thing is basically being evil incarnate? And he spends his screentime physically and mentally abusing the kid and those around him. It's all pretty bad. :| I guess the worst would be when he finally outright kills the kid publically and it involves lots of wire.

Then I had a really weird guy called Hemlock back in the day who was lobotomized, and all the anger and personality he lost manifested itself as a rage-prone, anthropomorphic rabbit just called Bunny, that would materialize and torture the fuck out of people with garden shears. WHAT WAS MY BRAIN IN HIGH SCHOOL.

And then there's the Nightcap, who just started off as a derpy jewelry-thief design, but is now a parasitic monster that disguises itself as a newsboy cap, affixes itself into the mind and body of a woman, and goes about, slaughtering people with tiny needleknives and snakes and whatever else it can get its hands on.

OH! Well alright let's see. :>

First of all, they're all related. Darkovs don't really...breed much outside of the family. 8|;;

The A-names are siblings: Alex, Adrian, Amanda, and Adam.
Alex is the oldest, and an unfortunate accident around a construction site as a small child has rendered his hands pretty useless outside of simple things. He keeps them wrapped up and out of his way. He fights with his feet, and is damn good at it, too. He and Regina are eerily upbeat and cheerful when they go to slaughter monsters. His spirit partner has the form of a mongoose.
Adrian and Adam are partners, but neither of them really click all that well with each other outside of work. Their interests are just too different. Whereas Adrian is more fond of being outdoors, hanging with animals, etc, Adam prefers being indoors with books and cooking up weird myths and theories about the family and their work. Adrian's spirit partner has the form of a stag, and Adam's is a shaman.
Amanda is Adrian's twin sister, and she is very bubbly and good-natured. She comes across as pretty ditzy, but she's a sharp girl. The demeanor is fine with her, because she'll use her smarts when need be. The rest of the time is for fun. She's girly and proud of it, but has a fondness for getting her hands dirty in whatever she does. Her spirit partner is a dragonfly.

Vincent is an only child (but having to live with your cousins always kind of negates the need for siblings) who has a tendency to pick up habits and turn them into addictions. Cigarettees, music, writing...they usually come in cycles, but he hasn't quite gotten around to fully quitting any of them. He's got a grumpy demeanor, but inside he's a hopeless softie. His spirit partner is a ram.

Danielle is Robert and Bruce's little sister. She likes dance, and has gone so far as to incorporate it into her fighting forms. She's very chipper and a little naturally ditzy--she and Amanda hang out a lot. But she's got a kind of sinister, competative streak in her that usually plays out in harmless revenge when people try to get the best of her. Her spirit partner is a doppleganger.

Robert is a hideous flirt and doofus, but in a mostly-loveable, sometimes-annoying kind of way. He has no real desire to keep up family tradition, and is always getting into spats with older members about loopholes in the rules and such. He's been causing trouble for years, and it hasn't seemed to show any signs of stopping. Actually, it's getting kind of worse, since he has a tendency to sneak out and come back, claiming to have fallen in love with some exotic outsider or somesuch. His spirit partner is a tigerfish.

Bruce is the oldest child in the 8th generation of the family, and enjoys such things as being stressed out by family pressures, playing mediator between the older members and younger ones, and knowing the dirt on everybody. He gets frazzled easily, but it hasn't kept him from loving on his family via incessant teasing. Every argument can be ended with "I'm telling Bruce". His spirit partner is a colossus.

Ivan is half-Darkov, but since his father was that half, he was allowed into the ranks. More like pushed into it, really; he'd rather be indoors hanging out with Adam and conspiring. He likes to read horror and mystery novels, with the hope that he can make one to top them all. He is also pretty damn good at football, and will brag about it just to be annoying. His spirit partner is a hawk.

Lastly, Regina is the one that gets to enjoy parisitic monster infestation, and it's kind of thanks to her unpictured brother. She's generally shy and easy to fluster, but post-incident shows she's got a spine and a kind of cynical sense of humor. She's still easy to tease, but rather scary when she fights. Two personalities can have that effect. Her spirit partner is a flying snake.

I happen to really like writing Chemin's narrative a hella lot, just because it's so awkward and. Full of. Broken sentences and. Half-thought-out thoughts. :'| As far as third-person goes, I drabble a lot about a kid named Angelo, which is fun because he's always on weird exploits in weird places with animals and violence. THIS IS FUN.

Luyssious is involved loosely in a co-writing project in ways I haven't quite tacked down yet, since he's a pretty independant kind of journeyman. It's more than likely that he'll end up being a sidestory character who doesn't affect the main plot. Right now, as of the latest drabble with him posted, he's teaming up with another baww-my-wife's-dead guy and headed towards dangerous territories to pick up some trinkets of significance. :] He'll find out soon that he's been giving his dead wife a little too much control.

Here's part one (http://noelleno.livejournal.com/334863.html) which is all I got so far. I don't know if I'm swapping narrator focus back and forth or just keeping it the one guy. So. Hurr.

Starting with the eye problem, he just...pretty much lets her do as she pleases to him if he's convinced it's for the sake of putting her at rest and avenging their child. A lot of his magic comes from enhancements that go in his body, which can be painful at times, but this guy's whipped as hell. Nobody tells him to behave differently, so.
