This wine is amazing(ly cheap but who the fuck cares it's great). My adapter (this would be number three, as far as adapter replacements go) flickered and overheated earlier. Ffffuhhhhhhh, I really don't want to have to replace this again. This computer's so old, but there's pretty much no chance of me upgrading within the next couple years, credit card considering. In my idiotic birthday fantasy, my parents split the cost of a Macbook with me and I get into debt more but not as bad as going in alone. Because I can't run anything on this thing anymore--it's not dual-core. It's powermac and NOTHING RUNS ON POWERMAC ANYMORE HRRRRGH.

I'm a little pissy idek my parents have guests over and I'm not even. Trying to be pleasant. Just...*grabs booze and skulks away* I hate it when people are like "omg you're talented have you tried (so and so)" and I'm like "..nah not really". I don't try hard enough buhhhhhhh.

Here I'll talk about comic books!!!

Blackest Night #6: Okay so this may not be the most original storyline ever (who's that guy who's bitching about Johns ripping him off? whatevs), but I am so intensely into this right now. It's really building up to be intense--I mean, come on. Recruiting a whole color spectrum corps in ish six and the series ends in eight? That's so much potential for cameos, epic battle panels, and just all around good fun craziness.

I hope everyone gets a ring, and not just the ones featured in this issue (Flash, Atom, Mera, Scarecrow, Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman), 'cause...I wanna see what Jaime'd get. And Superman. A Superman Lantern is such overkill and idec I want this.

The next-issue pitch is "BLACK HAND UNLEASHED" which has me irrationally excited, because this arc has suddenly made this guy (who I never heard of before tbh) such a creeper bamf. Do want.

Blackest Night: Wonder Woman #2: The covers for this mini is suffering from "really talented photorealism artist has no real flair for comic book covers", because this one's really boring. I mean, it's painted well and all, but generates no interest to pick it up. I would've skipped over it had it not been in my pull list already.

Anywho, this wastes no time from Wondie's little excursion in the graveyard to right after Blackest Night #5, where Diana suddenly is a Black Lantern herself. And not gonna lie, I dig the dark outfit. It's cool. So there's violence, females fighting, blood, Diana going "omg noooo" inner monologue-style, and so forth. Okay. Nothing too special, since that's what's been going on in every tie-in lately kinda. The perspective of a living person forced to wear the BL ring's a nice twist, though. But the best part about this?

Diana killing Cassie.

KEEP IT THAT WAY, DC.

I mean, it's probably not gonna stick, but I relished in that. And then that whole Diana kissing Dick to restore herself to normal while thinking "Bruce-chan kya" was all kinds of awesome because uhh. I ship that pretty much a lot. Durhur. So this was a fun ish for me.

Oh PS her Star Sapphire outift. Ughhh can nobody have a decent outfit in this corps.

Doom Patrol #6: This issue is all about trying to wade through the mess of a backstory that is Negative Man's life. WHICH IS MUCH APPRECIATED, as I am walking into this team kind of blind, having never followed them before. His narrative is a bit hard to follow, given his demeanor, but a second readthrough'll help. I got the gist, and I love him more. And now I ship him/Rita holy hell. He really is the reason I'm reading this title. Well, him and Rita, because she's got some girl power moments I like. But mostly Lenny.

Metal Men tie-in: Simply beautiful. I love Giffen and DeMatteis sfm. Every blurb is a potential gag or pun, and though that can get a bit tiresome in crucial moments? It's like a breath of fresh air from all the srsbusiness going on right now. I welcome this. But damn Tina needs to sit the fuck down, 'cause her whole "OMG PROFESSOR OMG SIMULATED HORMONES" thing's kind of done now.

The Great Ten #3: Focusing in on Thundermind this time around, let me first mention how damn pretty he looks on the cover. He looks very...feminine. Anywho, Thundermind explains himself well: he's like Superman. I'd say he's like Superman mixed with Captain Marvel, since he powers up with magic words (speaking of which--powering up in a porta potty. that's classy. suck it, phone booth.). He's a general derp, and yeah...the moment I made that connection, some of his charm is kind of lost, because we already have Clark and Billy, but you know. He's cute, even if it's a cliche'd backstory/alterego. The fact that his powers are, as he said, potentially in everyone is cool, but he still can't beat out Accomplished Perfect Physician when it comes to godmoding awesomeness.

Next issue's gonna be Immortal Man-in-Darkness-centric and I am PUMPED, because he's so cool-lookin'. Actually I end up thinking about
