God, what more does SallieMae want from me? I called three times over the course of a month to make sure I was going to be okay, and I still get a penalty for not paying? You guys told me not to pay and that I'd be fine.

Hooray, anxiety until Monday when I can call to find out what I'm doing wrong now. But I just have this nightmare script of "But your reps told me it's okay" "Well then they lied too bad for you" reeling in my head over and over again and I feel sick.

How do people cope with this shit all the time, I just. I don't have the chops for this.

You have a SallieMae loan? That's terrible. Youtube it and you'll find out that they scam a lot of people... you should see what they put this one lady through. Westwood College endorses SallieMae and takes out loans under students names that they are unaware of and have a large interest rate and SalliMae just keeps putting you in circles.

have three with SM from my old schooling that the gov't's bought out, so when I called to ask what I could do to defer until my fulltime student status was reinstated, they said to just wait it out and they'd have it all set when my status was updated on the 15th but

that's good the government stepped in, though. you're really fortunate! but i know with my loans i had like a 6 month grace period to become FT again before i started getting billed -- and then when I go back again the deferment process will begin.

but then again SM is really stupid that way, and no one there really answers questions, just dodges them. Q_Q

same here--i'd re-enrolled near the end of my grace period so i was constantly calling to make sure i wasn't responsible for the first due payments and they were like "WELL JUST DO THIS AND THIS AND YOU'LL BE FINE YEAH!!" so now i'm like
