noellenoI HAVEN'T BEEN KEEPING UP WITH MY LITTLE BLABLATALKABOUTCOMICS LATELY so let me just. Dump a buttload of babble on you.
Nemesis: The Impostors
Okay. So there's only one more issue to go. And I have no frickin clue what is going on!!! I'm blaming Final Crisis Aftermath: Escape for this, because this has some serious shit to do with Electric City and all the mess that went down there. APPARENTLY IT WAS MINDRAPE? But I have no idea where the mindrape ends and the real world begins. There's still interesting elements, at least? Like a look into Tom's paranoid nature and that whole "I am gonna beat the answers out of you because shoot man I need something to hit" thing...But I'm still pretty in the dark. This'll take rereading. A lot of rereading. 8| Definitely not a casual reader's best friend, this title.
Brightest Day
Is...probably going to be like 52, where I have to pick and choose the arcs I give a shit about. Because idk if I can get behind some of these guys and care. But I know for sure I'm going to be zooming in on Dead(Alive?)man's arc, and Aquaman's might be pretty interesting. I hope that they're going to address Mera's whole kids issue because when that was revealed I was like WHOA...That was neat. Not sure if I care about the Hawks or Capt Boomerang or whatever...but Jade might be okay. Idk. Hrmm.
Green Lantern Corps
The first Brightest Day issue made me 800 kinds of happy and I'm not sure if I said so or not before but it BEARS REPEATING. I'm so happy to see everyone interacting again without zombies. :') Oh, Vath and Isamot, you lovely married couple. Oh, Salaak, you not-so-secret piece of utter awesome. OH NATU, YOU ALMOST 'BOUT TO HAVE A CATFIGHT HOTTIE. 8')
Crypt Guardian Morro is cool. Idk if I mentioned that before, but he is. But what happened to the two Lanterns that found the Anti-Monitor's body? The blue guy in the jacket and the guy who can hear the dead?? DON'T TELL ME THEY'RE DEAD I'LL BE HELLA PISSED OFF.
And so uhh when is Sodam getting out of the Daxamite sun...,DON'T TELL ME HE DOESN'T I'VE SEEN HIM IN THE FUTURE.
Booster Gold
GIFFEN BRINGS THE BWA-HA-HA BACK TO BOOSTER GOLDDDDD 8') Oh, my goodness how I enjoyed the narrative in the latest issue. It was so Giffen. So delicious. I just revelled. It's nice to see the humor side by side with the more srs stuff; it keeps things from getting too bogged down with baww. I enjoyed Jurgens' work with the series no doubt, but there were lulls in the lols. Hopefully that won't be so anymore.
And is it just me, or is Giffen!Skeets channeling L-Ron? Because I got seriousl L-Ron vibes. This is not a bad thing.
Titans: Villains for Hire oneshot
The hell is this. WHIZ WHERE ARE YOU WE NEED TO TALK DEATHSTROKE. Because this...just piles on questions. And okay. DC. Stop killing people for 5 minutes. Omg. I'm so annoyed. SHOULD I EVEN BOTHER READING THE ALL-NEW ATOM NOW. >8||| Godddd. Idek. Some of the reasonings behind these guys banning together make me feel iffy. Ink, are you really so easily swayed? Idk him very well but he never struck me as the sort. >:\ And I guess this means I'm gonna have to pay attention to Titans to find out what the shit is going on, but that'll be like. Pulling nails. Hhhnnnngh.

I hope Ice will be okay. Poor girl. WHERE'S HER MAN GET BACK FROM SPACE AND TAKE CARE OF DIS LADY. Instead of...whatever Guy was doing...in the Brightest Day GL..,.,WHAT THE SHIT WAS HE DOING?? I do not like the look of that.

Back when it was released with the blacked-out figure, oh it was so obvious that it was Beetle, of course. But then again, maybe it was J'onn? ...I never suspected it being Max. I utterly hated seeing Max kill those two cops, but the bit where he's giving Booster the Hannibal Lecture just about broke my heart. I like to think--and with Giffen doing some of the writing, I choose to believe--that he's being sincere, that Ted's death really does haunt him, and that he really does miss the old gang.
I only wish everyone else could remember him so that Luthor would forever know that he'd been delegated to a number two threat.
