Every time I see a picture of someone with a sword half drawn all I remember is how characters in movies and stuff never seem to clean their weapons and maybe it's just stuck because of all the dried blood on it.

I've never seen anyone put the sword away properly after a bloodletting without a scene change so maybe someone towels it off later idk. UNLESS IT'S LIKE A SAMURAI THING then they do the *SWINGS SWORD VIOLENTLY; SUDDENLY ALL THE BLOOD SPLASHES OFF??* thing.
