I'm beginning to notice a pattern. Nearly every time I pack my cooler for a long, painfully hot day of work, it usually ends up being only half as bad as my parents tell me it'll be. So, I did pack my cooler for work today, and when I did walk out, it was icky nasty hot. But it stormed three hours into my shift, and I spent an hour and a half or so in the office with the other tollers. The power went out, too; how lovely, haha!
But the storm did make it nice and cool for the remainder of the shift; though I did not appreciate the sudden loss of power out there--I had to go music-less for two hours and just played more Pokemon than anyone needs. I've fallen into habit of levelling up ALL my Pokemon the same level, so I have about 82 hours on it, and only 4 badges. Nurhurlame, yes.
The power came back around seven, so the puter went back on, and I went back to trying to draw. I wanted to draw Seyfi with his yatagan, because. I don't know; I wanted to pretend he was hardcore or something, haha. But I did start drawing a decent image of Sorano and her needles ofnot ripping off Haku doom, and then all of a sudden it was 8:08 and lol I wasn't ready to go yet. So I packed up and left for the office. I MADE TWENTY WHOLE DOLLARS, GO ME.
I come home, and Dad's outside chatting withhis boyfriend Glenn, and there's this white dog walking around by him. I'm all, "ErrrrWHUH?" and pointing at it and giving Dad the "I am confused" look. So it was a stray, and it just decided to chill out in our yard. She's a really sweet dog; she looks like a kind of lab/setter mix--white with brown freckles on her face. She's the nicest thing and just came up and let me pet her, walked around, followed Dad, followed me, followed Mom. She's very thin, too; looks like she's been out alone for a long time.
Well anyway, Mom tells me that when it first showed up, Belle (our midget dog) was freaking out about it and practically scared the poor dog into a corner. The utter pathetic cuteness of the dog got to Dad, too, and he wanted to take her to the humane society. Of course, we can't; our car situation denies us the opportunity to do so anytime soon. So either the police or animal control is coming to pick her up tomorrow. She's staying in our outdoor kennel tonight, cause Mom didn't want her to run off and get hurt. We set up a bucket of water and a bowl of food that she didn't touch at all, which is a bit troubling. Hopefully she'll be okay once she gets picked up.
Mom wanted to keep her (and so did I, but shh), but Dad made it apparent that 1). our dogs would have anuerisms, 2). we have no place to keep her, and 3). she might be really sick and diseased. D:
Oh well. I'll visit her before I go to work, which will probably be the last time I see her. I will take some pictures of her and I guess that'll be that! Another adventure in brief stray pick-ups.
