Oh, gaw, it's a real post
Oct. 9th, 2005 08:57 pmScary, I know.
Sooo.
Yesterdayyyyy (Saturday), I went malling with Steve and picked up vol. 6 of Peacemaker before realising I don't have 5, but I don't care. I'll get that one later. XD MMmmmm, I love me some Peacemaker. Then we went home and cuddled and watched Wall Street and Superman before he went to work.
Then me and my family had a Family Movie Trip (first time since Christmas with the Kranks!) and saw that Wallace and Gromit movie. It's so cute and funny, I heart it. It is TONS better than Corpse Bride, and far more worth your time and hard-earned/stolen/mooched money. Besides, the character designs are just hilarious. Ahh, yes. Oversized teeth. Good times.
Todayyy, I went to 11:30 mass with Katie, and we stood in the back, because the place was full to the brim. Crazy! It's strange seeing that little church so full. But Fr. John IS a good man, and like, half of his old parish comes down here every week. It's wild times, folks.
Thennn, went to my Uncle Greg's place for a family barbeque. Saw little baby Mikayla (I have no idea how they spell it. Michaela, Micheyla, potato, potahto...), and got to hold her for a while. She's a real sweetheart, very calm and loves to look around. Not a big fusser, either, which is wonderful indeed. I could have done without Gramma's whining about never being able to hold her (because she DID get to hold her for a while), but hey, that's what you gotta endure when you go to a family function.
From what I heard (and read), Katie had some issues finding the house and decided to turn around and go home. Oh, well. =\ I guess she must've sounded a bit harsh and annoyed Dad, cause he got a call a while later from her. He just kinda shook his head and sighed. I don't like it when there's friction in my family, especially when it's over such mild things. But, what're you gonna do, eh? It's not a big deal, anyway. Forgiveable stuff.
But, hot damn. The ribs were GOOD. Dripping in barbeque sauce. Nice and tender, practically fell right off the bone. Ugh, I almost died.
Watched a little Red Wings hockey (they won, it was a good game to watch) up there. Y'know, random stuff, before coming back up here and settling back in for another long week. Next Saturday is my cousin's wedding. A pentacostal wedding. You have NO idea how much fun that is gonna be. -_-; Here's a clue: it's against their religion to dance and serve alcohol.
Anywho. I kinda wanna organize my movies and watch a little Peacemaker before the roomie comes back.
