The worst Christmas present ever: the knees swelling up again, the arthritis coming back. Oh, God, no. No no no no no no no I AM NOT GOING TO DO THIS AGAIN. I will not stand it. I'll lose my mind. I couldn't freaking walk last night. Why didn't the Advil work. I can't bend my knee back more than a quarter of the way. NO. I am not going to do this again. This better be a fluke. I am not going back. The only memories I have of therapy is screaming and pain, and I totally wish I was joking. People pushing my leg back so far it feels like it's ripping off the muscle. Blood drawn every other week, and Mom pinning me down so they actually could. I am not going to do this again. Fucking fuck arthritis gonna put me in a fucking wheelchair, and if it does, I am going to be royally pissed.
Nope. Not gonna do this shit again.
Anyhow, family Christmas party. Kinda glad Aunt Cheryl wasn't there asking me about school. Haha everyone else did that for me. Told me math ineptitude is the "Laurainian Curse", but "we have charm, looks, and are good people, so we win" hahahaha. I won't dispute; I want it to be true. More than four people telling me I look skinny and that must be the awesome power of black long sleeves and slim cuts at work.
Mikayla is so big now, and moving everywhere. She spent ten minutes grabbing candy from a candy dish and motoring over to drop it in my hands, then take it back and put it back, and back again. Haha, she is so adoreable. She lunged over and fell against me, playing with my necklaces. I wonder if that's something she'll remember. Probably not, even though she has done so everytime I've seen her. She liked my hat, and liked when I hid my eyes and she had to crouch down to find me. Sweetheart. She got a lot of stuff, like a little plush chair that she climbed up in and kicked back on. Smart girl. Gave everyone a hug, even bah-humbug-Pat.
God Wade looks like 20 now. He is like basketball player huge. XBOX HUEG. Nice facial hair. He looks good, for a cousin, haha. His sister is still a bean pole and needs more chocolate. And Sarah is really...matured. I guess having a child will do that for you. But she seems to love it. Her sister helps, no, smothers Mikayla. Haha. Kids do weird things to people. Makes it perfectly okay for a 50-year old man to sputter "Ahjfsdblabajnfa", which is hysterical. Which is what Uncle Ed was doing. I was impressed he was there. I thought he was still in traction for his pinched vertibrae. Poor guy. Falling apart at the seams. Like me.
So Daddy says we're going to make an appointment to see my new, I'm-a-grownup-now,-so-no-more-pediatrics doctor on Tuesday. It better be a fluke. And the getting sick after big meals thing better be a fluke too. I'm tired of being stressed out about things, but if I go out of remission, I. Nghrrgh. I'll just lose all my hair or something, because I don't know.
Time to ignore the bad, and look up to the good. Because it is Christmas Eve, and the family and I will be going to the 4-pm mass (oh my God it's going to be so packed in there), and then to the Steak & Ale, where I will try to wheedle out free samples of wine from the waiters. WISH ME LUCK.
And then Steve comes over, and I FINALLY get to present that awesome shirt that was voted on to him. Heeee.
Lol
drisa I had a dream you came here to visit and I took you to Detroit with my roommate and we went into a pizza place and didn't eat, then went to Greenfield Village (which is not in Detroit wtf) and then went and stole comics while these scary Asians watched, and then you said you had to go to Pennsylvania so Aquilla drove and all these trucks were in the left lane and driving AT us and oh God it was...weird. XD
