See, [livejournal.com profile] toroki, I DO have good taste. Also, YES THE CROSSWALK AT YOUNGE AND DUNDAS IN TORONTO CHIPS ONE WAY AND BEEPS THE OTHER. I AM NOT DELUSIONAL.

Also, the Lord of the Rings show? REALLY GOOD. Like, better than I would have anticipated. Really. The set was insane. It was a series of raised platforms that could move individually and bring people to different levels. The choreography was quite amazing, and the battles were WHOA. Galadriel, despite my doubts when I first saw her photo, was actually pretty decent. The hobbits were fat, and that made sense. They also had sensible semi-Scottish accents. The black riders were amazingly puppeteered, as was that FREAKING HORRID SPIDER THING. Wow, omg, that was actually very creepy.

Also, coulda definitely done without ALL THE FREAKING SCHOOLCHILDREN TALKING NONSTOP DURING THE SHOW. Ushers were about as fed up as I was. Ugh. That's what you get for going to a matinee, I guess. Eah well. We all enjoyed ourselves a lot.

We also went and ate at a place called the Pickle Barrel. The service was kinda blah, but the sandwiches were pretty decent. Interesting retro design to the place, too; ice cube hanging lights. Huh.

Then on the way back, this dude was talking VERY LOUDLY on his phone. The monologue went something along the lines of, "--those cocksucking motherfuckers in washington; BUSH CAN SUCK MY D--" blahblahblah. Yeahokay. It's nice to have your own opinions, but there were YOUNG PEOPLE on the street; could we not be so loud and freaking rude? Oi.

So now my sis and I are chillin' in the room, and we're watching this AFI 100-most inspiring movies thing and Endy's egging me into some character design contest I'm sure I can't really do but might do anyway just because it'll be interesting.

Also, I love postcards.

This hotel has free wireless internet. <3 Such a nice thing to have and wind down to at the end of a long, lovely day!

Firstly, I love trains. I enjoy trains more than cars or planes. Four hours on the train is relaxing and nice; except for the stupid school group of loud middle schoolers that really wanted me to hurt them. Still, there was iPod and drawing more on the HubieBoobie dragon image. I fixed the arms similar to Vee's suggestion, and it's really looking better.

Anywho, got out of the station and rode a cab to our hotel. Dad was irked because the cabbie spent most of the time bashing our country. :\ It's not very polite to drive your guests around and insult their country and expect tips, under any circumstance, but whatever. He had a nice accent. Oh well. Nice hotel, eleventh floor. Smells like..cologne and cigarettes in the hallway, but that's okay.

We ate at Hard Rock, since their burgers are delicious. Got a bacon cheeseburger of infinite win. When we were walking on the way there, there was a..robot mime? Well, it was a dude miming as a robot. Pretty nifty. The crosswalks chrip at that intersection. CHIRRRP.

Walked around Younge street, went to the Eaton Centre, and got to meet one of the girls I know on Sheezyart. :D She works in this massive...5 story sporting goods store. She herself said it was a ridiculous size, and she was pretty awesome herself. But she had customers and we had to keep roaming. By that time blisters were forming on my feet cause those shoes I told you were both comfortable AND nice looking? Yeah, not for distance walking. So I had to buy new shoes. Got some black Chuck Taylors, since it is not boot season.

For those playing the home game, Eaton Centre is a three-story mall. It works like the European feudal system; serfs (level 1), lords (level 2), and kings (level 3). Freakin' 90 dollar tank tops on level 3. Kinda crazy. And there's a battery store. That just sells batteries. Huh. Also, Shopper's Drug Mart, whose store name amuses me each time for no real reason.

Tomorrow is Lord of the Rings musical goodness and Chinatown fun. There I shall seek out some really abnormal oriental stationary in order to counter Endy's amazing fast food papers. It'll be tough, but I'm sure direct importage should be fruitful.

Alright, tireeed.
